You know how when you check your email it seems like you have a million forwards from friends/family? Well, my mom is notorious for sending forwards. She is so funny cause right after she sends them to me, she will either call me to tell that I need to read the emails she sent me because they are "so good" or come tell me that she just sent them to me and then will proceed to tell what they are about. So then when I go check my email I have a bunch of emails that I know what they are already about and that I don't want to read cause she already told me what they were about and how great they were! It's so stinking cute and I love that about her cause they really are good, but sometimes I really don't want to look at all those cute baby animals or read some crazy long email that just wants to tell me I am Beautiful because...!HA! That is just one of the MANY reasons why I Love My MOM SO MUCH and I wouldn't change that about her cause then I would have no time to check facebook/myspace because I would be spending all my time reading those GREAT emails my mom sends me!!
Anyways, awhile back someone sent me a video forward, so I thought that I would see what it was. It was so funny and cute, but I didn't have time to send it out to people. So yesterday when we were in church the pastor was teaching on Minding the GAP in our lives...well then he shows a video! It was that same video that I had received in that email and I thought that I was going to cry because I was laughing so hard! Anywho, my mom is sitting next to me dying laughing and looks at me and was like "I have never seen this before" and I just couldn't believe that I had seen a forward that my mom hadn't...J/K! But it was so cute that I had to post the video! I hope that you like it as much as I do! My favorite part is when Charlie starts laughing!!! SO CUTE!

The Olympics
WOW....it's been so intense! I love watching the events at night! I remember when the Olympics came to Atlanta in 1996 and our mom took my sister and I to the field hockey game and it was so much fun. We also got to go Centennial Park a few times, which was a blast cause we went on a hunt to find our bricks that have our names on them!! We are forever part of this city!! Stephanie and I wish that we could have gone to the gymnastics meet, but of course they were the hardest tickets to get, so we settled on watching them on TV. Steph and I grew up taking gymnastics and when we were younger our favorite gymnast was Kim Zmeskal! So needless to say this year when gymnastics was on T.V. she and I were on the phone talking and making sure that we saw how great our USA team is and reminiscing about our old favs like Shannon Miller and Dominique Daws. This year I am so amazed by how graceful Nastia Lukin is on the uneven bars and how Shawn Johnson was prefect on everything even though Nastia Beat her in the all around! Hey, at least they both got Bronze and Gold. So this year I have really gotten into swimming and beach volleyball as well! Right now as I'm writing this the men's USA volleyball team is in their second set for best 2 out of 3 after winning their first set for the GOLD!! As I am sitting here and watching I find myself cheering out loud and getting nervous for them! It really makes you proud to be an American to see our home team in the running to be the best in the world! Last Saturday night as my friends and I were out seeing a local band play, we watched as Michael Phelps set the new world record for 8 gold medals! It was so much fun cause we were all screaming and cheering on the USA rely team and watching history me made! Not sure if anyone is keeping up with the over all medal count, but the USA has 96 total medal, however China is leading in front of the US with the most Gold medals with 46 and we have 29. I don't know what I'm going to do when the Olympics are over! But for now GO TEAM USA!!!!

Busy time of year!

With School starting tomorrow for my kido's, we have been so busy! For those of you who might not know, I am a nanny for two kids...well they aren't kids, Zack is 15 and Rene' will turn 12 on September 10th. Zack is going to be in the 10th grade and Rene' is starting 6th grade tomorrow! They are both in private school now, so we have so busy from getting uniforms to new student play dates to decorating her locker. WOW, did that take me back to high school or what! I so vividly remember always making sure that my locker was top notch with the best "signs" or how my mom would come decorate the outside of my locker for spirit day! So it was special to share this opportunity with Rene'. It was really kinda fun doing that since I love that kind of stuff anyways!
So to kick off school starting I wanted to take the kids to six flags, but they are now closed during the week, so I took them to the Georgia Aquarium instead. It was my second time going, but it was just as great as the first! It is so fascinating to just sit there and watch all the fish swim around! I was especially taken by the beluga whales! Just the way that they moved was amazing! While we were watching them, one of the whales got right in front of us and started flapping her tail fin while resting her head on a rock and the commentator said that she was napping! It was precious!
Here is a picture of Rene' and I in front of the fresh water tank! She is such a great girl! We have had a great summer!

So now that school is starting back, it's back to the bump and grind of things! More time for reading recipes and cooking fun meals, I hope! However, we are already trying to plan a day to six flags for fright fest! A promise is a promise!

Getting to Know me
To give you some in site into who I am and what I am about, I thought that I would give you a glimpse into what my life is about.....I'm the girl next door, with spunk and a major fashion addiction, but there is much more to me that just that....
My family means the world to me! I love spending as much time as I can with my niece's Anna Kate and Abby Claire! They are getting so BIG and become more precious by the day! I don't get to see them all that often (about every 4-6 weeks) because they live up in North Carolina. But when we do see each other the memories are overflowing! I could go on and on about my family because they have been so supportive of me over the years and loved me unconditionally, but that it would take forever, so ill leave that to another blog! Just know that I love them so much and I am so blessed! Below are my girls : Abby and Anna Kate at Hilton Head
My friends are my saving grace!!! I love y'all so much!!!! I'm all about making new friends and having tons of fun with the awesome ones that I already have! We always have fun no matter what we are doing. Thanks for all you guys have done for me!!! The Lord has really blessed me so many friends and I cherish each and every one of them! I'm sure that you will be seeing a lot of them on here! This top picture from left to right is Alicia, Myself, Amanda, and McCall out in Atlanta. The bottom picture is of my good friend Kali and I out to eat at Shout in Atlanta. (Don't worry, I have more friends)

I LOVE THE GEORGIA BULLDOGS!!! What kind of southerner would I be if I didn't?!?! Go Dawgs!! Just so you know the Dawgs are ranked #1.....Sick'um!!!

Then there is my puppy Bella who is so cute!! I just love her!! She was 2 in may and she is getting so big! This is Bella and I on New Year's Day 2008

I love cooking...I get to prepare great meals every night for dinner, which is such a great learning experience for me! Man do I LOVE to COOK now! I love getting to try out new recipes and I love sharing them with people...so if you know any good recipes let me know:)
Then there is my ever so important relationship with the Lord that I cherish! He really has shown me a lot over the past few years about myself and others! What great ways he has revealed himself to me, so that I can see his AWESOMENESS!!! I strive to be more like him everyday, but fall short of his glory....however I am forgiven!

It all Comes down to this....
So, here I am! I broke down and joined the world of blogging! I must say it's kinda different, but so far I'm just learning! SO, one reason I decided to join this crazy world of talking about your life to strangers, is because my big sister is a MAJOR blogger and I thought that it would be a good way for my family and friends to have something new to keep up with me by! (Guess that's a good thing... j/k) Plus, when you spend as much time on facebook and myspace as I do, then something new is fun! I have no shame in my cyber life! As we all know or some do, I love to talk and I can't tell a short story, so this is just another place for me to express myself! So for those of you who want to get to know me or just want to pop in from time to time to see what I'm rambling about, then I gladly welcome you to my blog. I must confess that for sometime now I have really taken to spending time just jumping from blog to blog and it's a fun little world that I am glad to be a part of now. So please bear with me, for I am not the best at writing or typing. Also, please feel free to leave comments because I really do enjoy that part! I hope that whoever reads this will enjoy!!!
