Over the past few weeks, I have been doing some extensive research on different brands of coffee. I usually just drink whatever is in the coffee pot when I leave for work, but some mornings I need a second cup when I get to work. My boss drinks Starbucks Breakfast blend, so every once in awhile I will have a cup....HECK YA! I never really tasted the difference in coffee till I had this one. So I started buying it for Mom and I to drink in the AM.
Going to Starbucks is a cool, but all the choices and the calories are to boot....I mean come on its like five bucks to have a latte', which adds up sooner or later! Plus when I drink those "designer" drinks I'm on a sugar high like no other and we all know that I don't need a boost in that area!
Anyways, back to the Breakfast Blend...It was the bomb, till we ran out again and I had to make a detour to the local Chick-fil-A for my morning pick me up! WOW, I love theirs too! I have found that I like strong coffee, with 3 hazelnut creamers(the small containers) and one slepnda....plus it is MUCH cheaper!!! That started to be my new routine, till I got new coffee for the house...and was running out of my allotted coffee money. That is where I discovered Dunkin' Donuts coffee! My sister is a major fan of this brand, so I thought hey I'll give it a shot! Yep, it's delicious too! My Bro-law just gave me the news that DD beat out major moola in the taste test! What's a girl to do??? Strong flavor, perfect with just half-n-half and some splenda....I try for the lesser points, so that I can have more cups. Humm new coffee brand for the mornings????
Wait just a second there.....THEN, Mom gets a new kind of coffee...UGGHH! We use to drink this brand and it was the Bomb, but more expensive than Starbucks and you have to have it shipped! Let's just say Gevalia is yummy in my tummy too! Plus, I even think she got a new coffee maker! This stuff is off the chain good! I missed not having it this morning because I was staying with my cousins! SO the Chick hit the spot today! I know that there are about a million brands and flavors out there, but I'm just a simple coffee drinker and I love hot tea too....how am I suppose to make all this decisions....has anyone ever drank caribou coffee? They have really good designer drinks too, but I only drink those when I need to overload on my calories for the day, which is like once a week! Weight Watchers, HA.... I just busted my count for the week with that right there!
So random poll...What is your favorite brand of coffee and how do you take it?? Black or almost white? Sugar or Splenda? Designer or regular? Espresso shot or in an IV?? Load up the Cal's or make it a slim?? I mean when you stand in line and order coffee, who needs all these decisions?? I mean wasn't it hard enough picking out your outfit that morning or which gas station had cheaper gas??? WAHOO, for almost $2 per gallon!
Enough from me now....I hope everyone has a HAPPY HALLOWEEN and GO DAWGS.....KILL THOSE GATORS!!!!

Dancing Divas and Dudes......
I'm going to go ahead a admit that I love Dancing with the Stars!! I love how they in corporate all those fun dances into the show! I would love to dance like that....It makes me think about Anna Kate because she is always dancing....I think we all wanted to be fairy princesses back in the day, so in a way these girls look like a dream come true for a little girl who use to wear my matching night gown and robe made of satin down the stairs and dance across the floor.
I really didn't get into the show when it first came on a few years ago, but the last few casts have been pretty good! This season is by far the best! In the past seasons I would start watching and then I would lose interest, but not this season! I mean who doesn't love Cloris Leachman?? She is kinda racy, but she is funny! Come on now, I don't think she can dance, but for her age she gives those young bucks a run for their money! I could however do with out all the skanky dresses and the spray tan, I mean come on George Hamilton was already on the show and one is enough, please!!
My favorite dancer by far is...DRUM ROLL PLEASE IS...... Warren Sapp! Every time he dances I crack up....I guess it is because he is so BIG, but for his size he is light on his feet and I love his smile! HE always put his own touch on the dances too. I am rooting for him to win , but Brook Burns is Really Really good too....either one is good with me tho! However, I hate watching the results show.....why they feel the need to block out two hours of good T.V. time beats me, but to some people that like watching little kids dance around while grown ups on the show can't even do the hooky pokie, just doesn't interest me. I like to just check the headlines on AOL for who got the boot the next morning! Plus, what other show on television has two nights of air time? Get it over with on the same night people....the suspense kills me!!! I'll be sad if Warren gets kicked off soon, but I like all the remainders on the show, so I think I'll stick this season out! Do ya'll watch this show? If so, who is your fav. dancer??

FootBall and Wedding Shower....busy!
This past weekend went off with out a hitch! It was a great weekend and I had so much fun! I stayed up late Friday night working on the party favors and watched the lifetime movie about CoCo Chanel! It was a great movie and I hope I catch it again! She is a fabulous woman! Who doesn't love her bags or sunglasses??? Saturday, Mom and I got an early start to Athens before all the traffic hit. We had a hearty meal at an old southern favorite... The awful waffle. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!Once we found our parking spot, (which I thought I was going to scream....Google maps suck) we got to our seat and enjoyed the game! It was a great game. Once we would get settled into our seat, they would make an awesome play or something and we were right back on our feet! Here is Mom and I during a T.V. timeout:

Here is a shot of the dawgs playing some defense!

After the game, Mom and I did some shopping in Athens for awhile and when we finally got home it was 10:00 and I still had to carve those pumpkins and make the flower arrangements! I was majorly stressing about the flowers, but I think they turned out great after some nursing....Who knew that sunflowers need sunlight? Gosh, STUPID! Ok, I knew that, but the flower guy at Whole Foods said to keep them in water and in a fridge....so I did. Well they didn't like that!
Luckily, I had made the Bride and Groom pumpkins earlier in the week, but I was down the wire with decorations... I had been on a man hunt for old pictures of Katie and I from our whole lives and I came up with some pretty good ones. I was actually able to find a picture from my 1st. Birthday party where Katie and I are both sitting in our highchairs. Priceless.
Since the shower was a mother/daughter shower, we invited friends from high school and college to attend. We also asked the girls to mail old pics. from back in the day so that we could display them around and we also made Katie a memory book as our shower gift. Katie's grandmother had found a great picture of Katie from way back when, of her dressed up in a wedding dress, veil, and white pumps.....so appropriate!!! It made for a great laugh!!
Here is Katie and I at the shower. It was an honor to be throwing her this shower. She is my lifelong friend and I am so happy for her.
It turned out to be a beautiful day, but there was a bite in the air that day, so we had the patio blocked off and the heaters on! It was perfect though! As we all know I love high heels and it's a rare occasion to have Katie in heels too, so we took a picture to commemorate the event!
It was so good to see old friends and catch up with each other over a good meal! You know girl talk, it ranges from kids, to jobs, to shopping, and our love lives. There were plenty of laughs to go around. Here are a few more pics from the day:
Our end of the table

Our Place Setting....it totally tied together our fall theme

Here is Katie, Amy and Myself

Here is the memory table with the cake as well! If you look at the round picture to the right of the cake with the pink and blue writing....yep that is Katie and I way back in elementary school..ha!

I had a great weekend and I got to finish it off by spending it with Kali and Whitney. We finished the first season of the Tudors. SAD, We love that show. We also watched Step Up 2.....McCall, I loved it!!! How was every one's weekend?? Busy weeks going on???

Tick, Tick
I started this week knowing that I was throwing a bridal shower on Sunday and I was thinking that I didn't have that much to do. So I have been taken my sweet time doing stuff to get prepared. Then on Monday, Z's girlfriends parents gave me their 4 season tickets to the Georgia game for Saturday, so I have been thinking about that more than I should...like what to wear or if we should tailgate or not. So now I think that just mom and I are going to go to the game b/c of the girls going wasn't able to work out going due to a previous commitment. No worries, however she will be missed. Still looking for someone to go with us...So needless to say I was thinking all along that I had a few days to make the center pieces, stuff the party favors, and plan my outfit...
Still haven't picked what to wear....for either day. T-minus 22 hours and counting. I have a few possibilities, but I just can't decide. Let's take a vote: Should I wear a cute black skirt with a white shirt and green high heels?? or Should I wear my new dress that has the Skirt(black) and Shirt(fuchsia)attached to make the dress and top it off with a patten leather belt??Decisions, Decisions!!! UGH!
I'm started on the decorations, but still have to carve out the pumpkins....did I mention that we are doing a fall theme for the shower? We are and it's going to be so cute....sunflowers and pumpkins! LOVE IT!!!
I love party planning! I love working out the menu, doing the decorations, and all that jazz. I have only had a few friends get married so far, unlike the rest of the south, so I haven't really had to throw that many showers, but when I have, I LOVED IT! I don't think that all of our ideas could have come together more perfectly. So stay tuned for pictures. With all the preparations and going to the game, I still haven't got her a gift....I feel like I'm running out of time on everything! So, I guess I better get off here and go get something accomplished!!! Say a little prayer that everything works out perfectly! SO what are you guys doing this weekend???

Circle, Circle, Square, Square...
Guess I don't have Cooties...Cause I got tagged again! However it does make things a little more interesting, so I'll participate! OK so the rules are to take the 6th picture from your 6th album and post it with a little description about it. Well, I have a few different picture places on my computer so I'll just pick one.I have a ton of albums and this was where the 6th picture fell. Enjoy.JPG)
This picture was take in Times Square, NY a few years ago. My girlfriends and I went up to New York for the Christmas holiday and it was fabulous. We had just seen the Broadway play "Sweet Charity", which stared Christina Applegate. It was freezing outside and we thought that we could catch a cab, but we couldn't, so we stopped at the Times Square McDonald's and had to walk back to the hotel(like 10 blocks). Plus it started snowing while we were walking!
I was totally in a New York State of Mind, couldn't get better than that!!!
I must say if you have never been to Manhattan, I think that the best time to go is at Christmas! It was so beautiful and it's fun to get all bundled up and go walking around the city and do some shopping. I bet the thanksgiving day parade is awesome too, who knows maybe I'll get there one day!
Remind me to get my Cootie Shot after this.....
So now I'll tag Alexis!

It's Fall Y'All
YAY, It's FALL!! It's my favorite time of year, well beside my birthday and Christmas. They are all neck and neck with each other though! Although today was all rainy and ugly, I was so excited to wear long sleeves again! From the smells and colors outside to the new clothes and even the colder weather, I love it all! It's like the pre- party to all the festivities to end the year! Anyway, now that fall is in full swing, I have been doing a few fall recipes...I have used cinnamon in at least one if not more of the side dishes every night this week! I have made stewed apples, candied carrots, acorn squish, and tonight I made my first Pumpkin Pie! It was so easy, but it took forever to cook! I can't wait to have a piece tomorrow! Looks like I'm going to have to fight off the cat and the pumpkin!J/K! I thought they added a fall touch to the picture!

Another reason that I love the fall is because it is now my niece Abby's birthday! Today, Abbs turned ONE!!! I can't believe that it has already been a year! What a blessing she is and not to mention what a cutie pie! To the right is the birthday girl sporting her 1st birthday crown at dinner, that didn't last long! Our new family tradition is that on the girls birthday we go eat at the famous Angus Barn...they even have an Iron Chef....if that explains how good the eatin' was! Afterwards we went back to Steph and Larry's new house to eat cake and open gifts. Well Abby tried too, but Anna Kate being the big sister did most of the "helping". It was a great visit and I can't wait to go back in a few weeks to have some one on one time with the girls.
For those of you who don't know, I love to do arts and crafts. It's therapeutic for me and I love doing it. So at night I make hair bows, bow holders, diaper cakes, and pillow case dresses etc. For the past few nights I have been doing some new bow holders and it has been keeping me pretty busy! Here is a slide show of a few things I have made. Let me know what you think.
